Understanding how we impact others is the foundation on which to build effective communication and influencing skills. The Influencing Style Clock (ISC) provides a quick and easy “mirror” that will help increase self awareness and identify how to successfully influence others. The ISC looks at the four major styles that individuals are likely to adopt when looking to influence others. These are Visioning, Orchestrating, Regulating andHarmonizing. Using the ISC to illustrate how the styles interact, it provides a graphic and clear illustration of each style’s strengths and weaknesses. The ISC includes suggestions for developing a personal action plan. The ISC will provide a quick and interesting introduction to influencing styles and their impacts when developing training for:
Leadership
Communication
Negotiating
Personal Growth
INSTRUCTIONS
This assessment contains 32 statements describing the ways in which people influence others at work. To complete the inventory you will need to carefully read each statement and select the choice that you consider is most characteristic of your behavior at work (not at home or with friends).
Choose your answer based on how you see yourself today, not on how you would like yourself to be, or how you once were. There are no right or wrong answers to this assessment. Answer each question candidly; this will produce the most useful information. For each statement, select the choice that indicates how the statement applies to you. Each question uses the following scale:
Strongly Disagree (this is uncharacteristic, I almost never do this)
Moderately Disagree
Neither Agree or Disagree
Moderately Agree
Strongly Agree (this is completely characteristic, I almost always do this)
